Featured Speaker: Farrahn Hawkins
Farrahn Hawkins has joined the staff of the City of Oregon as a full time intern and will spend the next 11 months assisting with economic development and tourism growth. This opportunity has been made available through an Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs (IIRA) intern program. Her responsibilities will include research, marketing, business outreach, website management, and presentation of seminars designed to improve local business practices according to their interests. She will also be assisting Oregon Chamber of Commerce projects supporting tourism and business development efforts. This Intern program is an extension of the city’s involvement with IIRA – which also assisted with the development of the Oregon Together community group.
