Byron Plant Closing Impact:
On August 27, 2020 Exelon announced that it intends to retire the Byron Nuclear Plant in September of 2021. The closure of the Byron Plant will have a devastating impact on our County and our Park District as well as local sales tax, housing and many other Economic Impacts.
