Ogle County Fair

July 28th-August 1st 2021    Ogle County Fairgrounds, Oregon IL

 

The fair features a rodeo, County Fair Queen Pageant, carnival rides, concessions, live entertainment, tractor pulls, 4-H shows, demolition derby, and competitions.   Price of admission ticket includes rides!   $8 admission with rides wristband.   3 years old and under admitted free (additional $3 for ride wristband)

Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival

Rochelle, IL      August 13-15th 2021

The Lincoln Highway was one of the earliest transcontinental highways for automobiles across the United States of America.  Conceived in 1912 by Indiana entrepreneur Carl G. Fisher, and formally dedicated October 31, 1913, the Lincoln Highway ran coast-to-coast from Times Square in New York City west to Lincoln Park in San Francisco.    The National Lincoln Highway Museum is in nearby Franklin Grove, IL.

Drop a Line and do Some Fishing at Jacks Landing

Jacks Landing is a 10 acre site operated by the Oregon Park District.  It is located at the corner of 2nd Street and Lafeyette Street in Daysville.

 

Find out if saying, “here fishy fishy” actually works! Park users can enjoy almost .5 miles of hiking trails and riverfront access for fishing and canoeing. Jack’s Landing is a unique property that caters to nature enthusiasts.
