Bison Bicycle Tour Hosted by White Pelican and Bike Ogle.

 Saturday, June 3 at 11 AM – 1:30 PM

 

Ride along with us on a guided tour of the Ogle County’s scenic rolling countryside, culminating with a stop at the nationally acclaimed Nachusa Grasslands bison herd. The 20-mile ride departs on Saturday morning at 11 am from White Pelican (201 N 3rd St) behind Conover Square Mall. Cost for the event is $5 per rider and bike rental is available for an additional cost of $15 per bike. All cycling ability levels are welcome so grab a friend and roll on! Hop On: A Brewery Bicycle Tour

Saturday, June 10 at 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Totally unique to Oregon.   Hop On explores Illinois and Wisconsin bike paths with a craft brewery as the final destination.

This day’s tour features Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery near Cedarville, IL.  just off the Jane Addams Trail between Freeport, IL and Monroe, WI.    The route is approximately 20 miles from Monroe, WI to Wishful Acres with 85% trail riding and 15% road.  Travels along a converted railroad bed through woods, pasture, farmland, and wetlands along Cedar Creek.   Wishful Acres Farm and Brewery and tap room is a CSA family farm for a truly grass roots experience in brewing.

We take care of the whole package for you with transportation, bike rental, and tour guide included in the cost. Do you own a bike and just want to Hop On? We will safely shuttle you and your bike to the Badger State Trail trailhead in Monroe, WI and back to Oregon from Wishful Acres. PORCHFEST!

So… What is a PORCHFEST?

Check out this first annual community event.    Residents’ porches are matched with musical performers of all types.  Dozens of musicians will perform on porches as part throughout the community,  Each performs for an hour, followed by a bluegrass concert at the band shell. A map identifying the musicians, times and locations will be available at the Old Sandstone Gallery on June 10, the day of the event, and will be available online at a special Encore! Mt. Rockin’ River Festival – Oregon Riverfront

Saturday, June 17 at 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Boundaries within Washington Street, 2nd Street, and the Rock River

 

The Oregon Chamber of Commerce and Oregon Together are pleased to co-produce the inaugural event of Rockin’ River Fest!

This will be a gated event with multiple food vendors, a beer garden, family activities, a teen area, entertainment stage, bags tournament, Tug Across The Rock, and Adventure Triathlon!     Current lineup of entertainment is as follows: Love and Thunder, Dirt Road Rebelz, and The Party Doctors.   Admission will be $5 per person for those 13 and older, $3 per person 4-12, and children 3 and under are free.

The triathlon will begin at 8:00am with the rest of the festival opening at 10:00am!

Rock River Adventure Triathlon:   Over the river and through the woods, the Rock River Adventure Tri is a run-bike-paddle event that takes participants on an epic, all-terrain journey through the backdrop of Northwest Illinois’ most scenic landscapes.
